You might possibly have caught sight of a fundraising appeal that was launched recently to try and raise funds for a 13 year-old Ugandan girl (Esther) who needs specialist surgery in India to avoid paralysis and permanent terrible pain.
Esther is the daughter of Mrs Allen Magezi who was absolutely key to everything that Moxafrica achieved in exposing evidence for moxa's potential application for improving outcomes in drug-resistant TB in the developing world. Her help was not just crucial in Uganda but also indirectly in South Africa and North Korea too. In other words there's an enormous debt that Moxafrica intends to repay by enabling Esther to get this surgery in India.

There are many huge acute concerns simultaneously erupting in our fragile world right now, so focusing on one young girl in East Africa may seems a little crazy - but there are good reasons that we are posting this here on the NAJOM website. Firstly this appeal is tied to a desperately tight programme (Esther's symptoms are worsening) and with nearly 50% of the target reached it is now critical that donations continue for the rest of the appeal for the surgery to happen. We also have a duty to help anyone who is suffering if we can, and in this case it concerns someone who has done more than anyone else to enable moxa therapy in Africa.
